Ro Maung Hla Myint Arafat is a Rohingya human rights activist and award winning photographer, and the Co-founder and Executive Director of Rohingya Students Unity for Right (RSUR) , storyteller, human rights activist. Born on April 1, 1999, in Myint Hlut, Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State, Myanmar, he was raised by his parents—Mv. Abdu Rohim, Vice Chairman of Madarasa Darul Olum Hakimpara, and Ayasha Begum, a community teacher—with values of justice, equality, and respect for human rights.


He completed high school in Myint Hlut before coming to bangladesh and being forced to flee Myanmar during the Rohingya crisis of 2017. Since then, he has lived with his family in the Cox’s Bazar refugee camp in Bangladesh, which now shelters more than 1.1 million Rohingya refugees.


Ro Maung Hla Myint Arafat is a university student called International Islamic University of Chittagong (IIUC) and currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature (ELL) at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC). Passionate about language, literature, and communication, Arafat is focused on developing strong academic and practical skills in English to prepare for future development .
