About Us
Rohingya Student Unity for Right (RSUR) is a youth-led, community-based non-profit in the refugee camps of Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. We support Rohingya refugees through advocacy, education, peacebuilding, emergency relief, and gender equality initiatives. Our mission is to amplify Rohingya voices, promote justice, and build resilience for a more dignified and empowered future.


WHAT PROBLEM DOES RSUR ADDRESS?
​The Rohingya crisis is one of the most pressing humanitarian crises of our era. Over 1.1 million Rohingya refugees who live in the world's largest refugee camp of Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. More than half of the refugees are women and children, and many of whom have no opportunity to quality education, healthcare and employment. These people temporarily live in over-crowded shelters, vulnerable to natural disasters, disease outbreaks and looming threats of trafficking and gender-based violence. Even in the face of such adversity, the Rohingya people are a shining example of resilience, creativity and perseverance. The children and youth are always with the dream of education and opportunity, and the women wish to work towards to empower others with hope and strength. We, the Rohingya Students Unity for Right  is with them, determined to speak up on their behalf, to build upon their strengths and to make sure that they are not left behind by the international community. Through peacebuilding, education and empowerment, RSUR decided to create the new leaders working with the new generations who will not only serve their community but also establish a path towards justice, dignity and secure a future for all the Rohingya people.​

We prioritize inclusivity, diversity, and representation, ensuring that the voices and experiences of women and marginalized genders are central to both our decision-making and our programs. We oppose all forms of discrimination, violence, and exploitation, and we work toward a world where gender equality and justice are not just ideals, but lived realities. Through advocacy, capacity-building, and community engagement, we strive to advance feminist values and help realize gender justice for all.

RSUR envisions a world where Rohingya people are empowered to realize their full potential and live with dignity, enjoying equal rights and opportunities.Our vision is to create a just and inclusive society in a future Myanmar, where Rohingya and other marginalized groups can thrive, supported by their collective strength, resilience, and dignity.

MISSION
Our mission is to provide essential aid—food, shelter, healthcare, and education—to Rohingya refugees living in camps. Beyond emergency relief, we are committed to empowering communities through skills training, education programs, and livelihood support. We also advocate for their rights and promote sustainable development initiatives that improve their lives and expand future opportunities.
RSUR OBJECTIVES

Provide education, training, and skills development for Rohingya students and youth to strengthen their capacity and potential.

Engage with international organizations, governments, and civil society to advance the interests of the Rohingya community.

Foster cooperation and solidarity among Rohingya people while building networks and partnerships with other communities and organizations.

Increase women’s participation in transitional justice processes to ensure diverse perspectives are represented.

Enhance the capacity of Rohingya youth and raise awareness of transitional justice principles and practices.

Build a strong network of Rohingya youth and forge alliances with other minority groups in Myanmar to address shared challenges.
