Anowar Sadek

Field Coordinator | Board Members

Anowar Sadek was born in 2000 in Myint Hlut, South Arakan State, Myanmar. In August 2017, he and his family were forced to flee to Bangladesh due to persecution, discrimination, and violent military crackdowns. He now lives in a refugee camp in Bangladesh.

For decades, the Rohingya community has endured extreme violence, systematic discrimination, rape, and mass atrocities in Myanmar, including ethnic cleansing, killings, and the burning of entire villages. In 2017, more than one million Rohingya refugees—mostly children, women, and the elderly—crossed into Bangladesh seeking safety.

Anowar has worked with Rohingya Students Unity for Right (RSUR) as a Field Coordinator for nine years, focusing on emergency response. From 2018 to 2025, he also volunteered with organizations such as BRAC and other humanitarian groups.
