Rohingya Students Unity for Rights (RSUR) Home-Based School Initiative.
The Home-Based School Initiative of Rohingya Students Unity for Rights (RSUR) is a community driven educational program dedicated to ensuring access to quality learning for Rohingya children living in refugee camps. Established with a vision of dignity, rights and hope through education, this initiative serves as a vital bridge for children whose futures depend on knowledge and opportunity.
Currently, the program operates through 30 learning centers, collectively educating 1,000 students from Class 1 to Class 10. Each center is carefully structured to provide a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment where students can grow academically and socially.
Classes are held daily from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, allowing students to balance household responsibilities while continuing their education. A dedicated team of 40 trained teachers delivers instruction with commitment, compassion and cultural understanding.
The program proudly supports a diverse student population of 1,000 learners, including 630 male and 370 female students, ensuring inclusive access to education for children across the community.
Our learning centers are strategically located across multiple camps to ensure wider accessibility, including Camp 14, 13, 16, 15, 4, 3, 19, 8E, 5, 24, 27 ,8W.
Through this initiative, RSUR is not only providing education but also nurturing leadership, resilience and a sense of unity among Rohingya youth. We believe education is a fundamental human right and through collective effort, we are building the foundation for a more just and hopeful future.
